Alcohol

Alcohol is just as dangerous for dogs as it is for humans and can cause serious brain and liver damage. Even small consumption can cause diarrhea, vomiting, respiratory problems, coordination problems, coma, and even death in some puppies. Its effects are even worse if you have a smaller dog.

Grapes and Raisins

Grapes and raisins can cause some serious kidney problems in your dog, and sometimes even lead to kidney failure. If you feed your dog even a small amount of grapes or raisins as a treat, it will cause vomiting, and your pup will appear depressed and sluggish.

Onions and Garlic

Garlic and onion are kitchen items and are considered as extremely toxic food for dogs in cooked, raw, or even powdered form. It can cause anemia in dogs as they kill the body’s red blood cells.

Try to keep your puppy away from baby food as it contains onion in powder form, and eating too much can cause poisoning in your dog. Other signs that will appear along with anemia are vomiting, weakness, and breathing problems.

Macadamia nut is another toxic food for dogs. The common symptoms that will appear are vomiting, muscle tremors, high temperature, and weakness in the hind legs. If you keep feeding chocolate with nuts, these symptoms will get even worse.

Chocolate

Chocolate is notorious for causing health issues in dogs because it contains an ingredient known as theobromine.  This can cause diarrhea, vomiting, seizures, tremors, and even death in your pup. Dark chocolate is the most dangerous chocolate for dogs.

Persimmons, Peaches, and Plums

Peaches, persimmons, and plums are very delicious, but their seeds and pits can cause problems for dogs. Its seeds can get stuck in the small intestine and cause blockages. Not only have that peach and plum pits contained cyanide, which can be poisonous to dogs.
